Who's behind it

Built by one accountable operator.

dotHuman is authored by Michael Grosse through 217 Studios LLC. This is not a theoretical framework built from the sidelines — it’s an active methodology built by a practitioner who uses it to ship production systems daily.

Founder, 217 Studios · Principal Architect · author of dotHuman

Michael Grosse came up as a journalist before transitioning to full-stack software architecture — a background focused on breaking down complex, systemic mechanics into clear, accessible technical principles. For more than 15 years, he has designed, built, and operated custom cloud infrastructure and back-office engines across highly regulated domains, including insurance, fintech payments, and logistics.

Making an early, deliberate leap to AI-first development pipelines, Michael most recently served as the backend and cloud lead for a venture-backed startup. During that tenure, he took an AI-built product from zero to an active production deployment in about five months.

The .human methodology predates that role — it grew out of those years of operating systems that had to stay reliable long after launch. The startup’s fast-moving, AI-first team was simply where it was hardened and proved its value under live production pressure: the human-in-the-loop safeguards and markdown file structures, put to the test at speed. That work earned an invitation to conduct a full architecture Q&A session for an MIT course specializing in AI-assisted development.

The protocol is that production-proven methodology, made open-source.
